Our client is a successful Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) provider specializing in PCB assembly, plastic molding, precision metal stamping, fabrication and finishing, and full product assembly, with products ranging from simple consumer devices to complex, high-end commercial and industrial electromechanical products

Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer:
In this position you will plans, purchase, expedite, and negotiates materials in support of production schedules and capital/MRO materials and services. Additionally, you will maintain the MRP system data and its integrity, prepare and analyzes reports and support project management of existing and new products.
Qualifications of the Senior Buyer:
•Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, materials, operations, business, or related field.
•Eight-plus years direct procurement experience with strong knowledge of MRP systems in manufacturing, planning, purchasing, negotiations or supplier relations.
•Must have a deep knowledge of MRP logic and its manufacturing operations modules.
•Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
•Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.
•Demonstrated negotiation skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people.
•Must have knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment and be familiar with commonly used email, Internet, word processing, databases and spreadsheets.
•Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and materials. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
•CPSM, CPM, or other related certification.
•Excellent negotiation skills.
•Experience in Contract Manufacturing and EMS industry desired with an emphasis in supporting an offshore manufacturing facility.
